On Sunday, I had the pleasure of shooting another wedding, Preston and Jessica Pease!
I am still working on the pictures, but I finished these 2 shots up tonight, and I was so excited about them I just had to share! I will put the rest up when they are done, but for now, here is a very small preview!

On June 27th, I had the pleasure of flying out to Salem, Oregon, to shoot the amazing Adrian and Anna’s wedding! It was a beautiful day, and I really enjoyed being there! I had an absolute blast in Oregon, and I attached a vacation to the trip! I’ll be posting shots from my vacation over the next few weeks, but first things first! Here are a few shots from Adrian and Anna’s amazing wedding!
Sadly, due to what can only be referred to as “issues” at the salon doing the girls hair, they didn’t show up to the park where we got lots of great pictures of the guys. It’s too bad we didn’t get some pictures of the bridesmaids near the rose gardens, but what can you do? The girls looked gorgeous though!
The couple had arranged for some traditional Mexican dances to be done. There were several, but this one was my favorite! I wish I could remember what it was called! I slowed the shutter speed way down to get some blur to show off their fast spins and quick movements. I really like this shot.
This was a fun moment too. Adrian’s brothers wrote songs to sing for the newlyweds, and performed them at the dance.
Did I mention Adrian is a great dancer! I had to speed my shutter way back up because he was spinning Anna so fast!

I just got back today from shooting my very first wedding as the primary photographer! I have second shot several times before, but I learned on Saturday that it is a lot more work being the primary! I am very excited too, though, because I am very happy with the pictures I came back with!
Jonathan and Ra Sheeda were wonderful to work with! Jonathan looked great, and Ra Sheeda was absolutely stunning! She was so calm and collected! I have lots of pictures left to edit, but I was so excited about this wedding I had to put up a few quick shots as a preview!

Saturday was Casey and Linsey’s Wedding! I was so happy for them, and everything went just about as perfectly as it could have! I was a groomsman, so I wasn’t able to be their main photographer, but I still took a few shots. The honor of the photography went to Artco Photography by Joi. I have met Joi before, she is amazing! I had a great time watching her, and I learned a lot from her.
I am also excited as I just stepped up to Photoshop CS3, and now have some incredible new actions available to me. Rather than stamping my logo in the middle of the picture as I have been doing, I am trying a framing action with my logo on the frame. Let me know what you think of it!
Here are a few shots I took on Saturday.
Linsey, dazed and confused from the greatness of the wedding day, wanders into an industrial area. Casey rushed to save her!
This is a funny one. I left all of the formals to Joi, I didn’t want to get in her way. I took this shot because the way Joi moved her hand made me think of a conductor at a classical concert. I took this shot to represent that. Most people that see it say, “Can’t you crop her out?” And I’m like, “That’s the whole point of the shot!”

Bridesmaid Rhiana with Casey’s little sister!

Here is a wedding photo that I created for my brother and his wife Chelsey. The original photo was taken by Lisa Helseth, but I touched it up and added a photo theme using Photoshop. They were very happy when I gave them this already framed!

Another blast from the past, as I share pictures from years ago. This was the first wedding that I was ever asked to take pictures for. I wasn’t the professional photographer for this wedding, but I think the family liked them and it was good practice for me. These were taken at the Peace Gardens on the border of North Dakota and Canada. There are many more, but these are my favorites.
